The Future of Learning


I love this inspiring TED talk from Sugata Mitra, who won the TED prize in 2013 because of his amazing education project. This is a very good example of why self-directed learning really works, even under very unexpected circumstances, in slums, and no more resources than computers and the Internet. He went further and created a pedagogical structure for this methodology, where students work in teams, cooperatively, with a teacher that works as a learning facilitator and roles within teams.

He was already promoted the opening of various schools in the cloud, like this one in a poor community of India:

I think it is worth trying using these techniques in any blended learning context at any educational institution.
